Art and Creativity Journal: A Sense of Accomplishment
Although the year has gotten off to a bit of a slow start, I do feel a bit of a sense of accomplishment at having gotten in several short beach combing trips (despite pretty miserable weather) over the past couple of weeks.
At least it feels like "steps forward," given that I was running rather low on "raw materials."
I also — finally! — got an order put in for some paint in colors I was running very short on. Although I do mix colors, I like the purity and consistency of using factory mixed colors.
Yesterday, I the final batch of 2025-painted stoned finished "curing" in the garage after having gotten their clear finish coat. They all turned out pretty nice... it's always cool to complete another batch without any "shrinkage" due to paint melting and running during the varnishing process.
What still remains as the primary "big" project is resuming the photography process for getting all items uploaded and "live" on Etsy. It's going to be one of those things that's going to require the right motivation to overcome my inertia!
PeakD Stores?
Since I'm always looking for new sales outlets — and I really do want to support initiatives here on Hive — I'm also considering putting up some of my recent pieces in @peakd's new "Stores" feature.
Not only would it be a nice way to catalog some of my work, but also a way to potentially sell some of my work directly from Hive.
I was always hopeful that we might be able to have some kind of peer-to-peer marketplace here... so when the possibility presents itself, I'd like to support it.
Thank You!
If you enjoy painted rocks, do check out The Hive Rocks Project and help spread the word about Hive, while also being creative!
Because I am trying to make some semblance of income — a part time living, even — I now add this footer to all my posts, in the hope that someone, somewhere, might decide to take a further look at my work, and perhaps consider supporting independent art.
Thank you, in advance, for your consideration and support!

Nice. You're so artistic. Those stones look so appealing after you paint them. 🤩 And stores on Peakd? Really? I'm not updated, that's a big project in case. A big help to those businesses out there.
