SOLUTION TO MATH CHALLENGE FOR 05/03/2025 // BY @AKWASH360

Hello Math genius in the house, Here I am with my submission for the 05/03/2025 Math Challenge. Over the past few days these challenges have helped sharpen my thinking capacity and also expand my knowledge of Mathematics, therefore I must appreciate the Founder, admin and also the moderators.

I’ll like to proceed by explaining in details my submission stating out the steps I followed to arriving at the final solution. The first thing I did was to identify which formula (Compound interest formula) to use base on the available data in the question. After which I have to I have to bring out the datas and available and note the one I need to obtain.
The next thing I did was to substitute the data into the formula and further simplify the equation to the simplest form by using all the mathematical operations needed and I was able to obtain a simple equation 1.5 = (1.1)t

Furthermore I had to take the natural log of both sides of the equation in order to obtain the value for “t” which was our initial target. After taking the log for both sides I had to make t the subject of the formula.

Lastly I had to introduce the values for In(1.5) and also In(1.1) to enable me to simplify the equation further to have a single value for t.

Which we have it to be approximately 4.25 months as the time it would take for the final amount (A) will take to gets to $1500.
