Hello amazing people of Hive Open Mic!
It’s another beautiful day, and I’m excited to share my musical rendition for the week, based on the theme “Through The Rain.” For this week’s entry, I’ll be presenting a cover of the song "Baba" by Sonnie Badu, a well-known gospel music minister originally from Ghana, although his music has blessed many lives across Africa, including Nigeria.

This song has always been one of my favorites, especially during the time it was newly released. I remember playing it over and over again. It ministered to me deeply then, and it still does now. So, when I saw this week’s Hive Open Mic theme, the song immediately came to mind. It felt like the perfect fit, and I’m truly delighted to make it my submission.
It is a heartcry for God to send down his blessing through the rain. And the Autor as well demonstrated that in his video. I love the demonstrations in that video and I must say it inspires me a lot.

"Baba" is more than just a melody to me. It’s a heartfelt expression of gratitude. Every time I sing it, I’m reminded of how far God has brought me. It makes me pause and reflect on His numerous blessings in my life. Through difficult moments and joyful times, God has remained faithful. He’s been a constant source of strength in my journey.

I hope my cover of this beautiful song blesses someone out there, just as it continues to bless me.
