You're the air that I breathe - A Poetic Practice
Even on the clearest day
When you are walking in open fields
The grass so fresh, so natural
The thought of no you brings me down
You're the air that I breathe
Taking in deep breaths
Of the whole wide worlds cool
Effervescent and minty fresh
Your scent escapes me now
You're the air that I breathe
You sweet sweet eyes
Your perfect red lips
The softy skin that covers your insides
The faint whiff of your scalp
You're the air that I breathe
Nothing compares not even natures air
Oxygen that fills my lungs
Gives me a brain rush each time I inhale
They're not enough to survive
You're the air that I breathe
Casting your spell from the whiff in the wind
Drawing me close like a bee looking for nectar
Pulling me closer each and every second
You've made yourself a need
You're the air that I breathe.

Drop in say hello.
This is so beautiful. The way you described love through something as simple as air feels deep and emotional :))
When you are in the presence of lives reason and can't do without its presence, you're bound to come up with the right verses.
I'm glad you enjoyed the poem.
