MOON - A Space Opera in the making.
I'll give a quick write up about the game, Moon.
My space empire is a fledgling one started about a week ago. with barely a movement other than a quick build of buildings like Metal extractors and then power issues forced me to get some solar arrays going to power planetary progress. Far from making ships that will enable the empire to move to other planets and maybe even conquer some other empire along the way. After all what is a space opera without space battles and space wars lasting a millennia.
One key thing I have noticed is the use of the PIZZA token as the currency of choice for the space opera. I guess space empires and galactic humans cannot survive and thrive without some good old Italian pizza to line their stomachs. I also realise transactions do not burn any tokens in the process of exchanging them for the in-game currency. It looks essential too since you require them to have access to the games leadership mechanics ( that's what I'll call them).
Over the course of two weeks since starting my empire has finally achieved some space presence, Solar Arrays in space! Oh beauty. Now we are talking. The time constraint of the game means if you want your empire to succeed you need to dhave your time management in order or better yet your mathematical prowess to show itself by being able to calculate rates versus times.
Who ever said math's was a waste of time in school was an arsehole.
I think this could be a good school game to promote since it does help and encourage kids to actually use math's into their gaming and I think this is a heavy math's game at that.
A very intense and involved game. Excited as to how this game will progress. Could even become a masterpiece with enough time and development in mechanics and graphical look, because grand space operas needs that epic look and in feel by being able to visually see the grandeur of your empire. Along with a simulation of space battles brough to life with good battles on screen to behold.
Fledgling empire so no ships to participate in the first in-game mission.
I am liking how involved the gameplay is by having to take into account lots of details just to build anything in the game mechanics. Want to build a particular technology and don't know how? Well just go to the technologies screen and you are given a plethora of options giving tons of information on all the requirements needed to achieve progress for your empires rise into galactic domination.
One issue I have is the missing game mechanic of a galactic forum in game, I am sure the discord channel has a working one there, but one that does not require you to have to access another app just to connect with people is the way to go. The space opera experience tends to wane when you have to access another app just to have that galactic forum experience. I will say though it was a good touch to allow for an in-game messaging function. Still a good galactic forum would really make this game progress into a stupendous game.
I say a once a week event you are able to access in-game where some sort of open forum could be done for different alliance to either join force publicly or declare war to each other in every empires purview. Why is this something good? You craves for galactic domination but do not have an audience to see the empires glory.
In closing I want to thank the @hive.pizza team and @ecoinstantfor a job well done so far.

Drop in say hello.
Thank you for sharing. I've also started my galactic empire now, hope to meet you in the game!
