Monomad: Those Gloomy Faces Waiting for the Rain

It happened on a bright afternoon, and the weather was still quite hot. I noticed these guys—distant relatives—perching lazily on a flowering bush. One was a grasshopper, and the other was a mantis. Look at those gloomy faces. Like me, they were also suffering from the heat and waiting for the rain that never came. Recently, rain has been so rare that some plants have appeared wilted and dried up.
