Monomad: Singing in Silence

Today the weather is brighter than yesterday. I greeted the morning with a short video shared by a friend on WhatsApp.

It was a very entertaining show, a child who I estimated to be 5 years old with his adorable behavior was singing a dangdut song--typical Indonesian music.

The little guy jumped up and down like a superstar on stage. Although his voice was erratic; out of rhythm, he did it very well like an adult drunk at a bar. I chuckled watching him.

Then I remembered the loud sounds I heard when walking in the woods—the sound of langurs, monkeys, crickets, or wild birds.

I believe they also sing to entertain the other forest dwellers; and their circle. They greeted the day with great enthusiasm.

There was a barely audible singing sound, even not at all. But they also sang. I believe this jumper also often sang to himself.

He seemed to be singing in silence. Maybe only the prey around who are afraid of him hear his singing.

Singing is a pleasure, it can release you for a moment from the things that burden you.

This is another entry I submitted for the daily #monomad challenge.
