Monomad: Quiet Little One

I encounter this kind of moth too often during my afternoon walks in nature. However, I am still interested in capturing it with my phone's camera. The reason is simple: This moth is too beautiful to be wasted.

Amata huebneri is a moth species distributed in many tropical and subtropical areas, especially in South and Southeast Asia.

The moth has a fairly striking appearance, with an orange abdomen and black bands, mimicking a tiger's tail. It is easily recognized when perched in a bush.

The moth's behavior tends to be calm; it flies low and slowly when changing spots. So it is not as troublesome as butterflies.

This is another entry I submitted for the daily #monomad challenge.

These photos are my own, taken with POCO X3 NFC smartphone + external macro lens.
