Monomad: My best friend from another world

As a moment I took this little monster from his home; a kaffir lime tree as tall as my head, he lived there.

I intentionally took him for a walk to show him that the world was larger than he imagined. He obeyed, he believed that I did not want to harm him.

I took him not too far, though it might be too far for him, and he would get lost if he went home alone.

I noticed his eyes were shining. By now, it seems that the world is indeed so wide. Wouldn't it be better to walk with me instead of being bored at home? Don't worry, I'll take you back home.

He was stunned. I don't know if he understood my good intentions. But he was so happy; his shining eyes were a sign. He was still with me.

I told him I was also bored all day, so I needed a friend. Maybe we lived in two different worlds, but we could be best friends.
