Monomad: Lynx

While walking this afternoon, I noticed a lynx spider in the bushes. It was wearing dark “boxing gloves” (pedipalps), indicating that it was a male. It had thin whiskers that extended to its jaws. The spider was in a charging stance; it was probably a warning not to approach. That made me nervous. I had to be careful; I didn’t want to get a jab or even an uppercut by our little boxer. Damn! Luckily nothing happened.

Sometimes we are speechless! Really beautiful images. You capture the smallest detail. It almost makes the spider look like a sea creature. Regards
