Monomad: Gecko Shedding

This afternoon, I found a gecko on a dry branch. It appeared to be in the process of molting. I noticed that the old skin hadn't completely shed, and it looked a bit weaker than most geckos I've seen. The young gecko had to undergo molting at least once a week, which was a significant inconvenience. Adult geckos normally molt once every one to two months. It takes a day or two for the skin to tighten back up and for it to regain its strength to hunt mosquitoes again.
