Monomad: Buzzerfly

This is the loudest buzzer, even louder than a bee. It buzzes when flying and goes silent instantly when perched. The hoverfly features large compound eyes, which also serve as its head. It is an exclusive fly; it loves flowers and is known as a true insect pollinator. Its loud buzz is enough to scare predators. That's why I rarely find this fly as prey for predators like jumping spiders. Maybe it will only be unlucky when it hits the cobweb. Know the sound; where there are bushes, you'll find them.

This is another entry I submitted for the daily #monomad challenge.

These photos are my own, taken with POCO X3 NFC smartphone + external macro lens.
