Monomad: A Threatening Yet Cute Gaze

I believe it was fate that led me to encounter so many jumping spiders while exploring the undergrowth. Whether it was coincidence or not, almost every time I walked in the woods, I would encounter at least two or more jumping spiders. They were such adorable creatures that it was a shame to ignore them.

I found this Evarcha jumping spider one day in April. It was nestled in the crook of a leaf. It was a decent little shelter from the heat and rain. It was a clever spotter. I coaxed the jumping spider out for a moment, and it welcomed the strange visitor without fear. Its eyes expanded, as if it was prepared to threaten the stranger who had dared to disrupt its peace.
