Heavy Jumper on Holy Mangrove Plant

Acanthus ilicifolius, commonly known as holy mangrove, is a shrub that grows along brackish rivers in mangrove forests leading to estuaries. The leaves are thorny, tough, and sharp. That plant grows along the banks of the Meuraksa River in my town.

I noticed a heavy jumping spider (Hyllus diardi) there. It established a territory on the holy mangrove plant. The dense leaves are filled with sharp thorn traps, and the holy mangrove protects it from enemies or other predators. I even tried hard to capture this jumper. Once again, the sharp thorns are like a barred wall that protects it.
