I bought my Hive Fest Ticket! / Hive Festのチケットを買いました

Since mid-October falls right in the middle of my daughter’s autumn break, our family has been planning a trip to India. That meant I couldn’t just hit “buy ticket!” the moment Hive Fest was announced. But finally, our itinerary is starting to take shape, and today I withdrew my HBD and immediately purchased my Hive Fest ticket. Seeing that ticket in my inbox suddenly made the whole thing feel real ☺️

Last year’s Hive Fest 9 in Split was such a joy that, right after coming home, I started saving up for this year’s ticket. I set aside 500 HBD early on, so the actual purchase was smooth and easy. Looking back, after Kraków in 2018 and Split in 2024, this will be my third Fest.

Now, I just need to sort out flights and a hotel. It looks like my family will be joining me in Kuala Lumpur, and luckily my partner—who is both a passionate travel planner and runs a travel business—is already eager to take charge. He keeps telling me, “Kuala Lumpur is one of the cities where luxury hotels are surprisingly affordable,” and he’s right. Fifteen years ago, when I stayed there, I casually booked a hotel without thinking much—using Japan’s sense of prices as reference—and ended up at The Westin with a full suite: kitchen, living room, bedroom, and even a huge bath. I still remember being blown away.

As a foodie, what I’m most looking forward to—besides meeting everyone at the Fest—is eating Nasi Lemak again after such a long time. According to my notes from 15 years ago, I ate it four times during that trip… and even on the flight 😌

10月の半ばはちょうど子供の秋休み中で、家族でインドに行く計画があり、すぐにチケットを購入！とはいかなかったのですが、ようやく旅程がかたまりはじめ、今日HBDの出金が完了して、早速Hive Festのチケットを購入しました。チケットを見て、Hive Festに参加する実感がもりもりわいてきました ☺️

昨年のスプリトでのHive Fest 9がとても楽しかったので、帰国してからすぐにチケット代を貯め始めて、500HBDを今年用に早々に準備していたので、チケットの購入自体はとてもスムーズでした。思い返せば、2018年のクラコフ、2024年のスプリトに続き、今回で3回目です。

あとはホテルとフライトを予約する必要がありますが、どうやら家族もクアラルンプールについてくるようで、旅行の計画好きがこうじて旅行業の会社もしている相方がやる気満々でお願いしようと思っています。相方は「クアラルンプールは世界の中でもラグジュアリーホテルがかなり手頃な値段の都市なんだよ」とホテル探しを張り切っています。確かにそうなんですよね。以前15年前にクアラルンプールに滞在した時には、日本の値段の感覚で適当に予約したら、ウェスティンでキッチン、リビング、ベッドルーム、風呂まであり、ビビったのを覚えています。

食いしん坊の私はみなさんと会うのと合わせて、久しぶりにNasi lemakを食べるのがめちゃくちゃ楽しみです。当時、15年前のメモによると、私は旅を通じて4回もNasi Lemakを食べて、機内食でも食べていたらしいです😌
