Long ago, in the misty highlands of the East, nestled between two jagged mountains, stood the ancient metropolis of Gogotha. It was a metropolis acknowledged for its deep wells, robust warriors, and songs that echoed throughout the valleys. But it used to be also a city cursed.

For many years, the people of Gogotha lived in worry of a horrible creature — a monster regarded as Skarnok. It was once stated to be born from the shadow of a fallen star. Skarnok had the body of a lion, the wings of a bat, and eyes that glowed pink in the night. Every full moon, it descended from the mountains, respiratory fire, destroying crops, stealing cattle, and every now and then taking people — never to be viewed again.

The warriors of Gogotha tried many instances to defeat the beast. Arrows bounced off its skin. Swords melted in its flames. Even the priests' prayers appeared to fade in the air like whispers. Year after year, the town suffered. Hope was once a fading ember.

Then got here Kael, a quiet younger blacksmith’s apprentice. He had no titles, no riches, and no fame. But Kael had something extraordinary — a heart that did not supply up. His mother had been taken by using Skarnok when he used to be a child, and when you consider that then, Kael had sworn a silent vow to end the monster’s reign.

While others trained with blades, Kael studied the ancient scrolls and listened to the forgotten memories instructed through the city’s elders. One legend spoke of a weapon cast no longer of steel, however of star-stone, a rare metal stated to be tougher than dragonbone and immune to fire. It was hidden deep in the Cavern of Echoes, guarded by way of trials only the important could pass.

Without asking for permission or glory, Kael left one misty morning. He battled frost wolves in the northern cliffs, crossed the Silent Marsh, and braved the whispering winds of the canyon. At last, he discovered the Cavern of Echoes. Inside, he faced visions of his fears, reminiscences of loss, and shadows of doubt. But Kael did no longer turn back.

At the coronary heart of the cavern, he found it — a shard of glowing blue star-stone. With his blacksmith competencies and a fireplace kindled by lightning, he forged a spear of light, etched with runes of courage.

Kael returned to Gogotha on the night of the subsequent full moon. The humans thinking he was once mad. “You, alone? Against that?” they scoffed.

But Kael walked alone to the fields the place Skarnok constantly landed. The ground trembled. The monster came, roaring louder than thunder, hearth spilling from its jaws.

And Kael stood firm.

The war was fierce. Skarnok’s claws slashed, his tail struck like lightning. But Kael moved with purpose, dodging, blocking, ready — until he saw the beast’s heart glow beneath its chest, pulsing like fire.

With a mighty leap and a roar of his own, Kael thrust the star-spear into the monster’s heart.

There was a blinding light. A scream that shook the heavens. And then... silence.

Skarnok fell. The fire died. The skies cleared.

Kael, bleeding and weary, stood over the creature’s corpse. He had performed what generations should not.

The metropolis of Gogotha erupted in tears and cheers. Kael did not ask for riches or titles. He genuinely back to his forge, working in peace.

But from that day on, songs were sung of the humble blacksmith who defeated the monster. And every time the full moon rose, the human beings no longer trembled — they remembered Kael of Gogotha, the one who lit the dark with courage.

And so, the monster was once no more.
