To new beginnings 🍻

I woke up with a bitter sweet feeling and I thought to share. It was my graduation ceremony a week ago and even though I looked forward to that day many years ago, i also dreaded it.

I was excited to see all of my friends and weirdly some of my classmates i didn’t even like. Seeing everyone gather together to celebrate and not lament about our collective hatred for a lecturer we didn’t like was so nostalgic. It finally felt like a reward for all the years of hard-work, disagreement and frustration we went through together.

We had two ceremonies, the first day being the induction ceremony. We were given certificates and we all did a honorary walk and got a complimentary handshake from the Vice Chancellor. The following day was the actual graduation ceremony. It was filled with lots of laughter, love, celebration, pride and definitely tears. Everyone i saw was just glad to be finally done.

The convocation ceremony was even more fun. I personally didn’t attend the ceremony because it was packed as we were over 10,000 students graduating that morning .
They had the procession walk done and awarded the best graduating students.
Afterwards, i partied into the night with my friends and it was a beautiful day altogether.

My friends and i all decided to stay back for a bit and create even more memories together before we leave to our respective locations.
Recently, we went to an arcade center and an amusement park. It’s a big mall with different nice places.
First stop was to shop at a store called Miniso.

Next we went to the arcade center. We had to recharge a card with units for access to each games we were interested in. I played the basketball, car racing and disco dancing.
I really enjoyed the disco dancing, it was my highlight of the day.

After hours of playing games, we went to grab ice cream and bobba tea. I have a recent addiction for bobba tea because of how sweet toothed i am. I got mine in raspberry flavor and my friend got his in orange flavor.

We got food after, reminisced about our years together and the way forward. We spoke about future plans and how to still keep in touch with each other. We also made some funny tiktok videos and took lovely pictures then called it a night.

I’ll always be grateful for the gift of good friendship, those ones who hold you down and keep you sane. The nights of laughter, fights, gists and just enjoying each other’s company.
I’ll greatly miss all of those moments but I’m excited to see what the future holds for all of us. I know we’ll do great things and it’s definitely not the end of us being together.
