BTS of my graduation szn👩🏽‍🎓🎓

I’ve been up to a lot of things these past couple weeks and I want to share the behind the scenes of a special moment in my life coming up. It’s my graduation in a few days and I’m more than excited. I always celebrate my wins even the littlest ones, and as the extra person that I am, I had to go all out for my graduation prep.

I started my preparation months ago so I have enough time to do everything how I want. First thing I had done was a to-do list of every service provider I’ll be using. From my hair, nails, outfit and even photography, every single thing I had planned and it really helped in making my plans run smoothly. I also had a clear vision of how I wanted my pictures to look.

For my graduation look, I went on a full cooperate mode. I’ve never worn a suit before so it was an opportunity to see how it would look on me.
My mom handled my outfit, all I had to do was send her a picture and her tailor brought my vision to life.
We went for several fittings until the final look came together.

After I got my outfit out of the way, I concentrated more on the beauty maintenance part. A lovely close friend of mine sorted out my nails, shoes, photography and hair, so i didn’t have to bother about paying a dime.

I also decided to take my graduation pictures before traveling to school because it’s less stressful. Although I ended up taking another set of pictures when I got to school just because😂.

Same day I booked for my photography, I had all the maintenance done. Nothing prepared me for the stress I was about to pass through. I had to run a lot of errands and also make sure nothing affects my mood so I don’t end up looking stressed out in my pictures.

The day started really early for me so I meet up all of my appointments. My first stop was to get my nails done. I had a pedicure done and I had them use a nail polish on my nails, no artificial. I’m not really a fan of doing acrylics because not only does it take time, it gets painful for me and I end up losing a nail or two.

Next stop was at my hair appointment. My hairstyle was a simple frontal installation, nothing too dramatic. Surprisingly it didn’t take as much time and the hairstyle also came out perfect.

I’m not really a fan of makeup or full face glams, so i didn’t bother booking a professional makeup artist. I did a light beat on my face and I went for my actual shoot.

My inspiration was an outdoor photoshoot and it only had to be at either a restaurant or a hotel with a serene view . My friend found this really nice hotel that gave the exact environment I envisioned . Although their policy was a bit strict, I had to abide by it if I wanted to use their establishment. An option of booking a room or either eating at the restaurant will give you a free ticket to take as many pictures as possible. I went for the restaurant option, it was a bit pricey but i understood because it was a big place.

After my food, the photography session was for an hour, it went not so smoothly because I get really awkward in front of a camera and posing sometimes can be hard for me, but I got a few nice pictures at the end of the day.

My close friends and I planned a group photoshoot and i had that done also. They were taking their graduation pictures and since i already took mine , I couldn’t repeat same outfit. I used the opportunity to take pictures in another suit outfit, but this time in black.

Everyone looked really beautiful in their outfits and the session was fun filled with memories I’ll cherish for a lifetime. I’m happy to be ending this chapter finally after so many hurdles and I can’t wait to see what the world has in store for my friends and I.

I’ll be sharing pictures from my induction ceremony and graduation ceremony. There are two different ceremonies taking place and I’ll be blogging in details about how everything goes.
