A year of Growth🌸

Years before my Jordan year I always looked forward to it. For some weird reason, I have always liked the tag ‘Jordan year’ and i never knew what it meant . I was just eager to use it as a caption on all my socials but I understood it’s a significant year.

During a conversation with a friend, he made me understand what it meant and how it’s significant to the basketball superstar ‘Michael Jordan’, then it made sense.

My anticipated Jordan year came and I still think about how it was everything and even more than i imagined. It was filled with plenty of love, lots of gifts, the blessing of friendship and a big celebration.
Still remains one of my best days ever!

After, I had a moment of self-reflection. I realized the age i turned is now serious work. Soon I’ll be approaching my mid-twenties and I have to lock in now to become the woman I want to be later.

My Jordan year will always be a significant year in my life because it awakened my rapid journey into self-development. It marked a turning point in my unlearning and relearning habits. I became intentional about doing all the hardwork now.

It’s also the year I finally graduated Uni after so many delay. I became intentional about learning new skills. I watched tutorials on how to style and install wigs until i became perfect in it. I also started doing hair contents and surprisingly, I got thousands of views and good reviews.
I prioritized self care and became more intentional about looking the part.

I stepped up swiftly into a lot of responsibilities. The the year i started putting myself out there and conquered my fear of being seen or noticed. Also the year i stopped listening to naysayers and unsolicited opinions.

I got back on hive this year after so much procrastination. I made a resolution to always be consistent and put out great content, so far I think I’m doing better than I used to but I can do even more.

So if you’re in your Jordan year like myself or close to entering it, I’ll encourage you to stop settling. Be intentional about doing all the hardwork now, invest in meaningful friendships and live every moment as it comes.

We’d never be in our 20s or this young again so value everyday as it comes and be intentional about putting in the work by creating the future you want for yourself. The last thing anyone wants is to settle for a life when there’s so much more out there.

I won’t say I have it all figured out already , but I’m taking baby steps and that’s all that matters.
I still have my moments of weakness , procrastination and confusion but what matters is that I still show up everyday even on the days I’m confused. The vision of who I want to become gets clearer everyday and I’m celebrating my little wins regardless.

To my Jordan year, thank you, thank you and you’ll always be a part of me✨

Thank you for reading💗
