And it was all yellow

💛Yellow💛

When I saw the #pobphotocontest theme this week I was instantly brought back to a couple months ago when we were in Durban, South Africa, on a family holiday and I desperately wanted to get the perfect photograph off these beautifully imperfect yellow flowers. However the wind was not my friend and kept making the flowers dance gently as I tried to snap my photo. I don't think I got any part that I really wanted to get in focus (Being the actual flower) But instead some leaves or a bud in the background.

Even though they may be out-of-focus and kind of blurry, I am still so in love with the photos I managed to capture, I feels like it gives the pictures some character and movement... bringing me back to the windy day that it was, reminding me of the salty sea air and warm breeze blowing through my hair.

I am also so obsessed with the fact that none of the flowers are perfect, yet each one is so uniquely beautiful. Having the photos slightly out of focus sort of emphasises the imperfectness of the flowers and brings more focus to the colour yellow itself.
I edited a few of the photos a little differently than usual, to bring out the yellow more which was also a fun task.

Looking back on these flowers brings me so much joy and I am hoping they fill your day with some joy as well!
