A very special three hour in "Bangladesh National Museum"

Friends, Happy Saturday to everyone,

I hope everyone is doing well and healthy. I am also doing well by the grace of Allah. Today I want to share a new post with you.

Friends, you all know that everyone has their own busy life. As a student, I am also busy with classes, exams, labs, practicals, viva on other days of the week except Friday. So I don't have much time to refresh my mind.

On one such Friday, I went out for a walk with my department friend Sadia. So while walking, we left the campus and stood in front of the National Museum. I had no desire to enter the museum. But I agreed to my friend's insistence. Finally, I bought a ticket for just 40 taka and entered. And after entering, I was overwhelmed and immediately guessed that something interesting was waiting for me!

Bangladesh National Museum is a building with four galleries. The galleries of the museum started from the first floor. So without delay, my two friends and I went to the first floor. The first gallery had maps of Bangladesh, flowers, fruits, rural Bangladesh, Sundarbans, small ethnic groups of Bangladesh, sculptures, boats, ornaments, etc. We were fascinated by many things. We got to know many new things that we did not know before.

Then we entered the second gallery, which was on the second floor, and I was even more impressed when I entered there. The collection there had items used by ancient kings and queens, such as iron armor, swords, and various items made of ivory. There were also designs of two palaces. One of them was Ahsan Manzil, and I have forgotten the name of the other. There were also many paintings by Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin, of which I know the names of some such as "Drukbhiksha", "Santal Couple", etc. I was surprised to see the history of the discovery of glass. Egyptian merchants were the first to notice that when sand melts, it hardens and turns into glass. The glassware in the gallery was beautifully decorated. In addition, the collection included jute straws, hand fans, table mats, embroidered cloths, and bamboo baskets used in village homes. They were truly eye-catching.

The second gallery was so big that my legs started to hurt after walking around it. Then I took a little rest and started walking again. No matter how tired I was, I was more excited than ever, getting acquainted with new things.

Then I entered the third gallery. The collection there was about the Liberation War of Bangladesh. The Language Movement of Bangladesh, the sacrifice of the brave Bengali boys in the Liberation War is not unknown to the whole world. So, the museum had various evidences, newspapers, important documents, rifles, some old pictures like the surrender of Pakistanis, some pictures of foreign help and support. Seeing these, the new generation of Bangladesh and foreigners can easily get an idea about the Liberation War of Bangladesh. Also, in the third gallery, there were statues of Hindu and Buddhist gods and goddesses. Which were mainly found during excavations from archaeological sites such as UNESCO recognized "Paharpur", "Wari-Bateshwar", "Mahasthangarh" etc. They were later preserved in the museum.

Finally, I entered the fourth gallery. The museum here mainly focuses on international culture, religion, life journey etc. Apart from this, there were many other paintings by various famous painters like Leonardo da Vinci's famous "Mona Lisa", Albrecht Durer's "Portrait of a Young Venetian Woman" etc. whose names I don't even know. Anyway, all of them are very beautiful and unique to me. The fourth gallery was the most interesting thing. It has a collection of dolls from different countries such as China, Japan, Bangladesh, Korea, etc. They are really fascinating. While visiting the doll gallery, I met two Korean citizens who were very friendly. There were also books by famous authors, sculptures, and collections of clothes from different countries.

While walking like this, I did not realize when I had displayed all the galleries in the entire museum. Anyway, I finally came out of the museum. It took us about three hours to complete the entire museum. Then, after leaving the museum, I saw a row of flower shops on the side of the road in Shahbagh. I could not hold myself back anymore after seeing the flowers. Because flowers are a part of my
feeling. The surroundings were buzzing with the smell of beli and hasnahena. Finally, I bought two beli flower garlands for my two friends. Then I took a few selfies with my friend with sweet smiles and finally our little trip was over. Finally, we set off on our way home with a sense of wonder
.
