My Essentials Must Suit my Case

Hi guys, Happy New Week to us all. It will be a productive one in Jesus name. Going with the thought-provocking KISS prompt, on the essentials I would pack in my suitcase for a year trip.

I would say the essentials I would pack would be my TTC i.e Toiletries, Technology and Clothing. What do I mean? One of the things that gives me confidence anytime and anywhere that I am, is my toiletries. The word toiletries for me is a wide canopy that consists my toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, hair brush and my sanitary pads. In fact, anything that makes me smell good is my priority. I can't afford to be on a journey without my sanitory items as a lady, it could be a disaster. What happens if my monthly visitor just appear without notification, which sometimes happen? Definitely , I won't want to get stained, or what happens if it was a village I traveled to, where it would be difficult to get sanitary pad, would I start behaving as such, by rolling a piece of cloth for my menses? I may not like the experience. So, I do ensure I pack all the essentials. I used to ask myself what happens when we meet and have to talk to people with our mouth unwashed? It's a lot. Toothbrush , toothpaste are essentials that must follow me on my trip . I beam with smiles when I know that my mouth, skin and other parts are well taken care of.

While some may think, they can always get their toiletries where they are going. It's not always advisable, especially as a minimalist, we don't have to abandon what we have at home when they can easily suit our case, to later spend a lot of money on them outside. Some of those hotel attendant are funny, once they know you are in dire need of an item, they increase the price as if there is no tomorrow. It isn't their fault anyways, we ought to know and pack the essential things before leaving our house. At times, the unexpected happens, and those things we think we'll just buy at our destination become unavailable.

Technology is also an essential part of my journey.While I may not carry a laptop, my phone, its charger and a power bank are essential. With my experience so far, these three things can sustain so well. What can I do without my phone? How can I interact with my fellow hivians without a phone? What keeps me lively in a boring environment? Then, what happens when the battery is flat or when I travel to an epileptic power supply area? How do I cope without a power bank? All these make my technology so essential in my journey.

Then, of course my clothing is another essential thing. While I may not pack a pile of clothes, my underwear are very important. Seriously, I give more attention to packing my undies while traveling. My undergarments are so crucial, I can't imagine myself with beautiful clothes without underwear, I won't just be free. What happens when breeze blow my short Cinderella dress? Lol! What happens if I will be doing some climbing in the journey, then with no undies? It must not happen. So, as I'm packing my suitcase, I ensure I pack my undies and other clothing items.
