My Crush and I
Yes, it's another moment at midnight letter. I really want to share that particular thing that made so laugh so much at myself. It happened when I was in my third year in University. Though as at then, my elder brother was still on the same campus with me. He was in his final year. So, I used to visit him in his hostel.
However, there was a guy that lived next to his room, I mean a very handsome guy that used to look at me in such a loving way anytime I showed up at my brother's place. Thus, I started crushing on that guy. I was hoping he would walk up to me one of those days to ask me out. So, I dressed extra ordinarily anytime I visited my brother. You know, I would wear my fine shirt and nice skirt or trousers with a unique perfume. This guy would just look at me, smile and wave.
There was this fateful day however, I needed to see my brother, but I had a cold (catarrh and cough). I was not supposed to leave my hostel that night but I did, maybe because of the probability of meeting my crush at the same time. I made sure I dressed well as usual. I wore a pair of my cute trousers with one beautiful blouse. I combed my hair and left it flaunting. So, I got to their hostel and went straight to my brother's room but he wasn't around. I then stepped out to the corridor waiting for him. Guess who showed up! My crush! He smiled and walked towards me. Wow! Of all days, "why today?" I was wondering. He kept smiling, how are you doing? He asked. I was actually freaked out. " Well, I'm fine", I replied.
We started talking and everything was fine, until James moved closer to me to remove something from my nose. Wait, what's that? I shouldn't have asked. He stretched forth his hand to show me. Alas! It was mucus outside my nostrils, you know I said I had catarrh. Impossible! With the way I thought I was looking my best. I kept posing before him. I never knew there was something posing on my nose to embarrass me. Not long after, James' attention was needed in his room and he left. I laughed so much at myself. My crush just left after removing mucus from my face. It was quite embarrassing and funny. What the hell!
