MCGI: Prayerful Life

It is true that every Christian should live a prayerful life. Prayer is a way of communicating with our Lord. There are always things on our mind to pour unto God and when we pray, it eases us from every tension. Prayer takes away our burden and gives us peace. A prayerful life is a virtue. Prayer makes us powerful. A prayerless individual is a powerless person, that goes around with heavy and unnecessary burdens he should have offset at the feet of Jesus.

As emphasized by bro Eli, prayers are to be made for all men, both young and old, family and friends, even our enemies. Prayers should be made for all men, according to the book of 1Timothy 2:1. Though we may find it hard to pray for our enemies, it is however a proper thing to do. There are many things to settle on our knees, as human we have wants, so also we have our worries but all can be addressed through prayers.

Prayer does good according to the book of James 5:16, " ...and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much". Even Jesus, our saviour prayer till his sweat became like blood. Also, Daniel prayed fervently till got his answers. Christians are to pray without ceasing. At times, it looks like our prayers are not being answered but we only need to pray more till our joy is full. Even when our joy is full, we are to keep prayer, because the devil is always looking out for our unguarded hour. Prayer remains the master key that opens every door of greatness, even the Bible says that no wonders can happen without fasting and prayers. Prayer is crucial and the holy spirit is available to help us with groanings which can never be uttered.
