Life without music, lifeless!

Hi guys, it's another week and I can't help but to write this thoughtful prompt: Life without music. To me, music is beyond the combination of sounds. It's beyond melody. In fact, I will say music is life. The past experience, present condition and future expectation of one's life can be expressed through music.
We are in an ever-changing world and several things happen. Sometimes we are happy, at times we are not. Sometimes, we are moody, other times, we are full of energy. Sometimes life happens to us, we feel dejected and downcast. Words fail us at times when we need expression. Music remains the best friend that expresses our inner feelings. Music is that only thing that gets us in both the good and the bad times. I never knew the power of music until I followed my sister to the hospital the day she wanted to deliver her child. She was in so much pain, I couldn't help but cry. What amazed me the most at that hour was what came out of her mouth, while lying flat on the bed. She broke into songs, while tears were rolling down her cheeks. The agony was much but was still singing, calling God to her rescue.
Music is powerful, it chases away evil spirits, like it did in the Bible with King Saul. Once David played his music, the evil spirits departed. Even on the streets nowadays, we see how much joy music brings to the disabled, once it is played. You will see the blind smiling, even lame trying to shake their bodies. The most amazing thing is how some of the beggars on the street get a radio by their side, just to listen to music. It is so undisputable that music heals.

Music lifts up our spirit when we are downcast and reminds us of the hope we have in Jesus. It does remind us that a living dog is better than a dead lion. Music gives us reasons to hope. It communicates experiences of various legends that have sung their lives to encourage us. Through music, we become lively and forget our sorrow. At times when I think about what is happening around, especially the economic situation of the country and how people are suffering.
Some old songs remind me that it didn't just start today but has been like that for ages. Many songs have been composed and sung many years ago regarding how the masses are suffering. Then, it consoles me that whatever I'm going through it's not only happening to me, but that I should stand and work hard because it may not change even in years to come.
Music remains that companion that speaks directly into our soul. It is a universal language that our mind understands. Sometimes, we find ourselves listening to some songs that are not in our dialect or language. We find ourselves smiling, shaking, moving and dancing to them consciously or unconsciously because they are speaking to our being beyond the physical. Music is indeed life that we can stay without. Of course, we don't want to be lifeless.
