Amazing Musical Moment

I wonder what the world would have been like without music. All genres of music minister to our souls. Music offers solace, comfort, joy and hope. No wonder music was even used in the Bible to chase away evil spirit. I just love everything about music including various musical instruments such as piano, guitar, violin etc., to voice training and singing. I so much adore those artist that come on stage and sing sonorously and I do admire their musical skills as well . I used to be lost in awe when I see people playing instrument and singing especially to the glory of God. It was just so unfortunate that we had no stable instrumentalist in our church. Nearly all instrumentalists charge for their services now, even some just little growing churches find it difficult to afford their fee every Sunday. So, it has been my desire to have these skills and just play in church for free and collect payments else where.
So, In 2024, I decided to take some steps towards my musical goals.I contacted some friends who are very good at music lessons but they were all fixed up. I later enrolled at a centre close to our house but the music director got transferred a day after I joined their class. I got there and we were handed over to a sister who was also good according to what we were told. It was a full class of students who were so passionate to learn. However, our music class suddenly became a barrack barely after the music director left. The new music teacher would teach but flared up whenever we asked question. She was so harsh and unkind to us till people started leaving one after the other. I thought that would be the end of my music journey until my nephew who is a music guru started living with us.

John made the whole thing as simple as ABC for me. At his arrival, I told him what I wished to learn which was to train my voice and know how to play piano. He agreed to teach me and we started with voice training. Oh! 2024 was such a fulfilling year for me. I started singing better last year than before.
To perform better, I joined a live band that sings at various ceremonies such as weddings, namings and other celebrations. By the end of 2024, I had become one of the best back up singer for our group.

What a growth! I could sing alto and tenor so well beyond my friend's expectations. My choirmaster in church was so impressed with my level of growth that he encouraged others to also develop themselves.
The most amazing musical experience I had last year was a praise night I attended together with my boss. That night a renowned artist, Tope Alabi, a Nigerian gospel artist was invited as the guest artist and she started singing and worshipping God. Oh my God, the atmosphere becamed electrified and spirit filled. I was surprised seeing people, I mean adults sobbing like 2years old children. Amazingly, the worship was so mighty that many that came gorgeously dressed fell down flat to worship God, many were rolling on the floor including our steeze-filled band leader, that used to claim he couldn't fall under anointing while worshipping and then be rolling on the floor. I couldn't believe my hears and eyes. The hands of God were drawn through the rendition of various glorious and beautiful songs and skillful playing of guitar, piano and trumpet
That night, I decided in my heart to submit myself to the leading of my nephew and learn piano. My nephew was just fourteen years old last year but he has a lot of skills that I never had.

He agreed and started teaching me piano which was the the most important step I took after after having that amazing night of praise. It was all amazing and I really thank God for 2024. I know 2025 will be more amazing. I look forward to having more glorious musical moments.
