A year ago, I had the opportunity to attend a very special wedding. My friend Cris invited me and some friends to her mother's wedding. Years after raising her and her sisters and being alone, she found a man who loves her very much and decided to marry him in a church. I was very happy about the invitation. That little group of friends used to go to her house to chat, drink coffee, and sing because we all love to make music. Another thing that excited me is that I'm not usually a girl who wears makeup or dresses on a daily basis, so I take advantage of these occasions to get dressed up and feel different. Back to the wedding day...

Hoy vuelvo con un #TBT ¡Muy romántico!

Hace un año tuve la oportunidad de ir a una boda muy especial, mi amiga, Cris, me invitó a mí y a unos amigos a la boda de su mamá. Años después de criarla a ella y a sus hermanas y bueno estar sola, consiguió a un hombre que la ama mucho y con el que decidió casarse por la iglesia. Yo estaba muy contenta de la invitación, ese grupito de amigos solíamos ir a su casa a charlar, tomar cafecito y cantar, porque a todos nos gusta hacer música. Otra cosa que me emocionaba es que no suelo ser una chica que usa maquillaje o vestidos en su día a día, así que aprovecho esas ocasiones para arreglarme y sentirme diferente, volviendo al día de la boda...

It was a very special day. The wedding began in the afternoon at around 4:00 pm at Santa Teresa Church. It wasn't a full mass, just the ceremony. It was very nice for her mother because my friend Cris sang Schubert's Ave Maria, which is typical at all weddings, but when a family member sings it to you, I guess the feeling is totally different.

Fue un día muy especial, la boda inició en la tarde como a las 4:00 pm en la iglesia Santa Teresa, no fue una misa completa, solamente el rito. Fue muy lindo para su mamá porque mi amiga, Cris, le Cantó el Ave María de Schubert, típico de todas las bodas, pero cuando te lo canta un familiar supongo que el sentimiento es totalmente distinto.

Afterward, we went to the reception hall. It was very nice, with a beautifully decorated space for taking lots of photos. It was also open, which was great because it was very cool and not hot at all. We toasted and danced all night to every genre of dance music there is. Yuhe (the bride) and her family are from Colombia, so there was plenty of vallenato.

Después nos fuimos al salón de fiesta, era muy lindo, había un espacio decorado muy bonito para tomarse muuchas fotos, además era abierto, lo que era buenísimo porque era muy fresco, no hacía nada de calor. Brindamos y bailamos toda la noche, todos los géneros que existen y que son bailables, Yuhe (la novia) y su familia es de Colombia, entonces no faltó el vallenato.

I really like Yuhe's love story. It's never too late to find love, be happy, enjoy life with the person you love, and have a wedding as beautiful as you always dreamed of.

Me gusta mucho la historia de amor de Yuhe, nunca es tarde para encontrar el amor, ser feliz, disfrutar la vida con la persona que amas y tener una boda tan linda como siempre soñaste.
