I've built in both. I really loved the stripped back nature of Flash 3 coding before Flash 5 tried to become a developer environment. I used to teach Flash too.

One of my childhood books that my mother got me was how to develop an animated experience using Flash. I used to re-read it a lot for years before I actually got my hands on the software. Not that I made anything worth sharing with it back then. !LOLZ
