Digimon World Next Order is a Digital Pet simulator game where you take care of your Digimon needs while recruiting Digimon to the City and building it along the way.

Digimon World Next Order is a modern sequel to the beloved first entry of the Digimon World series. This time, you manage two Digimon at a time instead of one! The scope of the world is also bigger, and there more recruitable and obtainable Digimon. The soundtrack is very nostalgic with many tracks being remasters of Digimon World 1 OST. Still, the original had more charm in the moment-to-moment experience.

On a(n ironic) twist of fate, my Garurumon digivolves into a Silver Taomon in this session. I did a lot of random stuff before progressing the story a little in this session. It's interesting how we're doing something "illegal" here, while the party is treating it so casually.

This session was recorded three weeks ago, and I learned a lot about the game since then. Digimon World Next Order feels a bit slow, though.

Longer videos take too long to encode on 3Speak, since this playthrough had some 1:30+ long sessions, I decided I better put it on youtube only for now.

I'll use 3Speak for my shorter videos, of course.

When possible, I suggest uploading shorter videos (by various means such as cutting a gameplay recording into two when it reaches significantly more than an hour), not only to shorten encoding time, but also allow viewers of your videos to choose watching "bite-sized" videos roughly 30 minutes each. 🤓

Maybe in the future, but for now I have my reasons to not edit the footage. I don't have PC powerful enough to record gameplay at a higher quality, and editing them at their current quality, well, will decrease it even more.

I think you should instead try to find a checkpoint in any game you are playing, where you can stop the recording when you reach roughly 30 minutes of gameplay, so you won't need to edit the recording to cut the video into two (or more) parts. 🤔🤓

Yeah, it's harder to do it in more open games. Especially when I know the full play time will be 50+ hours. Making it 30 minutes per video will mean a lot more 'posts' per game. (Which depending on the upvotes I get, might be a good thing actually. !LOLZ)

I personally prefer to watch game videos that are not significantly more than 1 hour, unless I really !love the game. 🤓 Shorter videos and/or more video posts mean more views, engagement, and potentially more curation. 😎 !HOPE !DIY

Even if you haven't reached the checkpoint on a game yet or the game has no checkpoint, you can simply pause the game once you reach your chosen soft limit (such as 30 minutes) then cut your recording there. 🤓
