Let's Play "Jungle Ping" (PICO-8) - Becoming the New Tarzan

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

Jungle Ping is a PICO-8 game consisting of multiple mini-games in a quest to save the protagonist's lady. The player character seem to be inspired by Tarzan, and he even has his iconic cry. (It's impressive considering PICO-8's limitations)

There are four mini-games in Jungle Ping, but this video only covers the first two (because I suck at this game.) The first one is about jumping from rope to rope. The second one is about swimming while avoiding damage and killing alligators. There's also another mini-game about avoiding falling boulders, but I don't have that one recorded here.

I don't have a lot to say about Jungle Ping in particular, so I'll leave it here. Hope you get a few laughs watching my video.

PICO-8 is a Fantasy Console designed to create, share and play small retro-inspired games. Games made for PICO-8 are constrained in aethistics, code and size to encourage creativity. PICO-8 comes with a built-in code editor, graphics, and sound tools. Games are distributed in image files called Cartridges. In this series of videos, I discover great games made on this Fantasy Console, letting you discover these games with me.

This playthrough was recorded on a Linux (PopOS) Laptop.

Thanks for Watching!

Yup. There are at least 200 full-featured games on it, (according to a video I watched,) and many more experimental projects or smaller experiences.

This is very nostalgic, it brings memory of my childhood.
