About HIVE Account Keys...

I believe one of the onboarding barriers for some people to get into HIVE is having to deal with the multiple passwords that are too long to memorize.

On HIVE you have to deal with at least three passwords for your account. The Owner Key. The Active Key, and the Posting Key. Each of these keys is very long, impossible for the average person to memorize, so they have to keep their password Stored in one of their devices and keep protecting it.

Storing your keys on the cloud is generally a bad idea, but storing them in one place offline is a risk of falling along with that device/paper, or even getting lost.

Facebook is huge in Libya, but not everyone here is technology educated. Many people use their mobile phone as their only internet machine, and many people aren't good at keeping track of all of their accounts.

I know someone who keeps forgetting his Facebook and Email passwords, and he kept changing his Email accounts every other year because of that. He's better at it now, but I can't see someone like being good at handling HIVE's key system.

My father uses Facebook on his phone, and he never logs out. When something happens to his mobile and he needs to login again, it'll would have been a long time since he last needed to login and can't remember his passwords. Luckily, Facebook has "Forgot my Password" button, but HIVE doesn't have that option. I linked my father's Email to mine just in case he couldn't get access to it by himself. Not everyone is comfortable doing something like that.

"Not Your Keys, Not Your Crypto" might be a great mantra we have in the crypto space, but it's a double edged sword.

People need to be extra careful about their accounts, and if HIVE needs mass adoption, its an extra layer of inconvenience ithat might make people not want to jump into our community.

HIVE needs an easier account management process.
