INTRODUCTION

Isn’t it beautiful and amazing how different race, gender, identity, cultures, millionaires, Doctors, Nurses, Teachers, Engineers, Techs, Professors, Presidents, Ministers, Lawyers, Bankers, and all other professions, Tribes and Ethnicities all came about by Humans???

In just few seconds, Every Human, Great Men and Women and everyone aspiring to be Great came from a simple yet beautiful formation of sperm cell and a female egg.

Sometimes I think about it and it’s so mind blowing, I wish I could watch it happen under a microscope one day 🥹.

To everyone reading this, we all came about by that simple “fertilization process” a zygote, that turned into an embryo and fetus Wikipedia and then made a beautiful wonderful human being like you, with so much dreams and desires.

Let’s dive into how we were formed and how that simple process made thousands and millions of humans today and will continue to make thousands more in the future.

OBJECTIVES

By the end of you reading this post you will be able to;

Scientifically

IMG_0893.jpeg

  1. Be able to know and understand how humans are formed.

  2. Know the meaning of some scientific words like zygote, morula, embryo, fetus and Blastocyst.

Mentally and Physically

  1. Love yourself more because out of millions of others sperm cells, and a million things that could go wrong you survived.

So wake up every single day knowing you are born lucky and special and can do anything🥰❣️

HOW ARE HUMANS REALLY FORMED??

After reading this posts, you should wake up everyday super proud of yourself for being the golden survivor of millions others to come into this world

Don’t worry, you will understand what I mean very soon

I don’t want to bore you will a lot of scientific terms without explaining them too in details, moving forward, the process in which humans are formed is called Fertilization.

So instead of asking how are humans really formed?,

it’s now;

What is the process of Fertilization?

Good?? 👍

I want anyone reading this post with no science background to be carried along ☺️

The process of Fertilization starts from when the sperm cells are released into the opening of a female genital part during ejaculation, where it gets interesting is 15 million to over 200 million per milliliter of semen travels down.Source-Vinmec blog

Imagine millions of sperm cells swimming towards a tube in the female reproductive organ called Fallopian tube just to find an egg.

Just see it as a battle field where millions of sperm cells battle to reach the egg.

What is even more fascinating is that many sperm cells can reach the egg but it’s one final one that is able to penetrate and break through the egg’s outer layer wins.

And you must be wondering can’t more than one sperm cell break into one egg??

Once one sperm cell successfully breaks up and penetrates successfully the egg’s outer layer closes immediately. Fertilitycenterblog

It’s like shutting an emergency security door when intruders are trying to break in.👍

When I found out 15 million to 200 million sperm cells fight for one spot and just one out of the 15 million to 200 million made it, I was beyond amused.

Do you know what that means??🤯 it’s means we survived out of 15 million to 200 million others, we were the lucky one ☝️

Once the egg and the sperm fuses, we no longer call it egg and sperm mixture… hehe, it’s called “Zygote”
Britannica

Quick Sideline talk
After fully explaining this to you even if you are not in the medical line or had no biology background, you are in the right place, and will fully understand the concepts with each scientific names☺️.

Moving on

Zygote then moves down one of the female reproductive organ, it’s a tube like organ and it’s called Fallopian tube.

During the process of it traveling through the fallopian tube to the womb (scientifically called uterus) it divides into four cells which is called Morula and further divides till it gets to 100 cells.

At this point we bid our farewell to Zygote and say hello to Blastocyst.

BEGINNING OF BLASTOCYST

Now Blastocyst finds a comfortable spot in the uterus and attaches itself to it, and that process is called implantation.

Once the blastocyst has gotten a comfortable spot, the cells continue to divide and forms embryo, the embryo remains an Embryo for about 9 weeks after implantation when it then becomes a fetus. 👶

At the fetal stage ( that’s the stage in which the fetus is formed), all the major organs had been formed but not yet developed.

And you may ask Major Organs like what?

Major Organs like eyes, heart, lower limb bud, central nervous system, fingers appears.

And eventually, after 40 weeks living in the uterus, a beautiful baby and placenta is born.

Clevelandclinic Blastocyst Article

Ever wondered how babies get their nutrients to keep growing in the uterus ??

Well, you have your answer today, Thats the role of the placenta,

The placenta is usually attached to the wall of the uterus and it connects the mother to the baby.

The importance of the placenta is basically to supply the baby nutrients and oxygen, eliminates baby’s waste.

THINGS TO BE GRATEFUL FOR

The process of how we were all formed seemed very simple, beautiful and easy right?

Yes, I know but the truth is, many things could have gone wrong, but it didn’t and that was how we came about, we survived.🫡

A lot of things could have gone wrong which includes;

  1. You could have lost the battle with other sperm cells and not be able to penetrate the egg.
  1. You might have not been able to get to the uterus and be stuck in the tube and then stay in tube to continue to grow leading to further complications you wouldn’t have survived. The medical term is called Ectopic Pregnancy

  1. Blastocyst might not have been able to get a comfortable spot in the uterus

  1. Blastocyst might have gotten a comfortable spot and then not grow adequately and develop several abnormalities.

But you didn’t, we didn’t, you and I survived all these complications and came out healthy and beautiful

Don’t you think you have a Purpose???

CONCLUDING PART

Every single one, White or Black, tall or short, Africans, Asias, Americans, Europeans, Bankers, Doctors, Engineers, and others all were formed through this simple yet complicated but beautiful process.🤗

Wake up everyday proud of yourself, wake up everyday with a purpose, wake up everyday knowing that for you survive such process, you can get through anything and achieve anything in life.

Remember everyone were once a Zygote, were once Blastocyst before a Person and before your name and before your any other thing in life.

I was once a Zygote before being Agnes Soyinka Kigigha, share love around, love yourself even more, love people around you even more, because we are all survivors.

Hope you learnt something new 🆕
