RE: A veil lifted

I kept wondering who would mention the collapsed building, and the people inside.

A lot of brilliant lines in here, killing lines, cut through me:

The analysts toil, spinning tales for our digestion,
our viewing pleasure.
They dictate what to think, how to feel,
who to hate, who to love.

The political teams don’t care to clear the waters;
they thrive in the muck.

we’re told to be brave, to stop whining,
to lift ourselves by bootstraps
some of us don’t even own.

Not months ago, we thought we knew a terrorist:
now, keying a Tesla might earn you the badge.

the common folk, the working folk, the tired folk.

I'll stop pulling out lines...I realize the whole thing is stunningly brilliant.

I kept wondering who would mention the collapsed building, and the people inside.

War always has some unintentional “collateral damage” (what a euphemism!) but in this case they tracked him en route to a building occupied by many civilians. Why not take the shot before he entered the building?

A cynic might note that for the Trump regime often it’s a case of the cruelty is the point.

that line always hurts to hear. "The cruelty is the point" - it takes all the self control I have to not lash out.
