Congrats on working toward your goals. Mine are quite modest. I don't really have any here, except to keep growing and to keep being a positive influence. I'm quite a bit older than you (than most people on Hive) so that makes sense.
However, I would like to say that I checked out laspina.org. What a joy! I spent a semester studying Japanese classical literature in grad school. It was the kind of course that stays with you. It was a long time ago...1978 or '79, I think. My youngest was 6 months old when I started and I went to keep my sanity :) Anyway, I loved Japanese literature. I remember Kagero Nikki, and Ugetsu Monogatari off the top of my head. I will be visiting your blog again and enjoying your poetry. Just thought I'd touch base on that.
Thanks for checking out my webpage and glad to hear you enjoyed it. I don't give it nearly as much love as I should, but I do try to post there at least a few times per week with original haiku or translations. And that's wonderful that you enjoy Japanese literature. I am familiar with both of those, but I've read neither. As I'm sure you can imagine, very often some of these old haiku (especially pre-Shiki) love to refer to literature, so I end up being exposed to a lot of it myself as I follow the research. It's always a very fascinating journey and I have to fight with myself not to include all the details when I do my posts.
