LIL: February Collection of Images
Today's post represents my second 2024 contribution of pictures to LIL, the LMAC Gallery of Images. The LIL image library has over 12,000 distinct images now, and all of these are available for anyone on Hive to borrow.
Many of the pictures I'm contributing today appeared in a photography post I made earlier this week. Some images in today's post are new. Almost all are from the same outing I took with my daughter to Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park, in Oyster Bay New York.
I tried something different for this post. Often I take pictures of people but can't show their faces, because LIL does not accept photos of identifiable people. For today's collection of images, I replaced faces of photographed people with copyright-free images available on Pixabay.
Once I put a new face on the figure, I went over the image with a digital paint brush (using GIMP), ran the altered picture through a sketch filter on Lunapic, and then went over the image again with a digital paint brush. I repeated this process until I was satisfied with the outcome. It took a while but was interesting, and I think with practice will become easier.

In the end, the photo became a sketch, with a completely original aspect. I hope these photo/sketches are useful. Below this paragraph I've linked to the Pixabay copyright-free source for each of the faces I used.

As for the sign--we have such signs everywhere, but not everyone listens. Frankly, though I love dogs, I'm not delighted when a large, unleashed dog comes bounding toward me :))
This is good stuff, this way we can avoid copyright and use their images inside our blog.
