I will agree with rewatching the past history of good deeds and bad deeds to correct our ways but it might not be a good option for bad events like the prompt said, to me.
Thinking about how our parents deeds makes people accord us with honour and kindness makes it worthwhile doing good and walking in their footsteps

It is very important to do good and show kindness, sometimes we don't get the rewards for doing so but our relatives gets to benefit from it in a way without us even knowing.
