LIFE IS FOR LIVING, LIVE IT!
The journey of life starts the minute we let out our first cry at birth. Life, is for living...

One day whiles on leave from work, I decided to go to my hometown for a visit. During the evening on the second day, a family friend of ours came to visit my mom. we were all outside sitting on a bench catching up on what was and what is.
The conversation steered from one direction to the other and finally it was settled on marriage.
Now that was something that caught my interest. The woman has been married for over 20years and had a lot to share that night. One sad thing she shared was the abuse she endured at some point in her marriage for a couple of years. According to her she felt ashamed to tell anyone or seek for help at the time.(thankfully the abuse stopped)
Then I asked her why she didn't seek for help then, she said it was a marriage she was advised against both by family and friends, she feared what they might have said....
That was something I pondered over for a long time in the night, Society's thought bothered her so much...
I was buying bread from a store the next day when I heard someone call my name, I turned and saw a young woman who looked familiar but I couldn't place the face soon enough. She came to me and said, "Angie I heard you are in town but I doubted until now. you haven't stepped foot here for as long as I can remember"
I smiled and responded. Then I said wait, hold on; Lizzie?!!!
She laughed and told me I had become a stranger so how else would I have recognized her. Truthfully I didn't recognize her, it took her voice and a couple of things to jolt my memory.
I shouted and said it wasn't my fault since she looked different. She is someone who speaks freely so she told me she took some tonics and supplements to make her gain weight and she overly did it.Honestly, she outdid herself, her tummy was a different story .
I suggested she controls it else she will bloat out. She responded by telling me that she is currently on diet and had started some exercise to help her reduce especially with her tummy.
This was a lady who was as slender as myself and now she looked almost unrecognizable with her weight gain.

why did she do it?
She told me people teased her for being slender and she lost her confidence, so she decided to take things into her hands to gain weight. Weight she gained, but the same people are calling her fat and out of shape.
What is the lesson here: enough is never enough for society. They say, he says, she says, society says....Is all you here.
Society will never change and will always criticize you for just being you; with your failures and success even.
Both women allowed society to taint them to making choices they later regretted. Society will push you to break your nerve and condemn you for it later, if you allow it.

My advice, be yourself,do the right thing and worry less about society because, society will always judge. Life is for living, live it!!!!
You have said it all. People will always judge no matter what you do. So, just be yourself and do your thing.
....just be yourself and do your thing should be our mantra. Thanks for your addition
I totally on this. Society would never get enough.. Live life for yourself.
True, society is never satisfied.
And they'll never be!
