Stay Grounded And Have Inner Peace
In response to Thoughtful Daily Post weekly prompt #1,
We all find our center in different ways. Tell us about a practice you have that helps you stay grounded.
I'm glad to sit back and reflect on how I've been able to ground myself in my own moment when I'm lost and nothing makes sense anymore to me, and how I get to overcome that moment.
It is the easiest and cheapest word when people remind you of the usual words of encouragement that goes:
“When life throws lemons at you, make lemonade out of them."
Oh dear, you are really not prepared for every life circumstance, so at times, the lemons can go bad before you make lemonade out of them. I'm just saying so that you know. There are ways in which I have actually learned to keep myself grounded in most situations.
The first thing I would ever want to do is "EAT". Yes, you read right, I eat and keep eating GOOD FOOD, While eating, I am trying not to allow my circumstances to weigh me down but allowing myself to think through them.
That’s the first stage, then isolation comes in. I need to be able to figure out and analyze the problems and the possible solutions, so my isolation comes from walking and listening to music at the same time. If you care to know, my best place to have my isolation is by the beach at night, where I can feel nature and some tranquility that my soul lacks due to my predicament.
Breathing fresh air on its own is therapeutic, and it helps to renew some form of energy that I might have lost, I can CRY, SPEAK AFFIRMATIONS, to remind myself that it’s a phase that has to be faced to learn from.
Another thing I do to stay grounded is blame myself for whatever happened so that I can focus on myself, analyze where I got it all wrong, and not offend anyone or have issues with anyone at that moment.
Finally, I seek help from others who might have walked that path or who I believe are more knowledgeable than I am, read books by God bless Steve Harvey, Paulo Coelho, Jane Austen, and other authors from whom I get inspiration about life; they come in handy most of the time.
Conclusively, staying grounded is a continuous practice that requires constant effort. It is important that we find what works best for us individually. Combining multiple practices can be more effective in achieving that inner peace.
These are ways I keep myself sane and do not drown in life circumstances over which I have no control over.

Eating healthy is great especially when you are making those dishes yourself it takes your mind of worries, and all you would want to do is concentrate on making a delicious meal.

You have mentioned some really amazing ways to stay grounded when things become overwhelming. Personally, I practice listening to music or staying in a place where I can fell the warmth of nature. It usually helps a lot.
