The Uniqueness of Things I Could Do and Could Not Do

Life is in phases, many a time there are things we thought we couldn't do but life ends up revealing some hidden potential in us. Just like I have a lot of things I think I could do that I have not done.

The one thing I think I could do that I have not done is to sing in a large congregation. Singing has been my hobby right from childhood. When I was young I joined the church choir. I always look forward to when we have rehearsal, It's always a joyful moment for me. Whenever I feel lonely, I do play music. I was so fond of music but one major thing I have not done is singing or leading songs in a big congregation. I'm always scared of making mistakes. I don't have the confidence to face a crowd and this has always been steering itself right in my face.

There were times I wished I had the opportunity to face the audience. But anytime those opportunities come I run away as a result of fear. I'm always shy and the thought of not making mistakes has kept me away. Many times when my friends hear me singing they always commend me that I have a good voice but yet I kept hiding from my true-self.

There was a time in my life when I stopped attending rehearsal thinking singing was not for me because of my fears. Even though I love music but yet I have never sing in public.

One thing I never think of that I could do that I'm doing is writing. I never loved writing while growing up and I see it to be boring. But as life goes on, writing becomes a thing I do with joy. The journey to the act of writing started while I was doing my seminar as an undergraduate. It was really a challenging one for me because I thought I couldn't write. It took me days before I could coordinate my thoughts. I started just anyhow. But thank God that I have good friends who guide me on how to write and it has been getting better day by day.

Coming to Hive has really improve my skill on writing. I get to write almost everyday on Hive which makes writing more easier to do. Writing daily has made me better. If i was told i would write blogs, articles and research project when i was young, i will say No. But has life goes on, i got to realise that i have the potential to write.

The undergraduate seminar was a push for me in discovering my potential in writing. Although at first, it seems difficult, but i realise that the more i write the more i get better.

Now, writing has become what i enjoy doing. I was able to write my MSC project myself, It was indeed an amazing one to do. And I thank God that I'm getting better at it day by day.
