The Memorable Events Of My Life
Marriage is indeed a thing of joy when you marry the right person. My heart is always full of joy whenever I remember the day I got married to the love of my life. It's indeed a memorable event. I know many of you love attending events like this. But for me as the bride, the joy was exceptional. I was just smiling and blushing all through.
At the sight of my husband, I'm blown away with excitement. I believe many will say this girl has fallen in love. Why won't I?
I have been friends with my husband-to-be for close to 10 years and we dated for almost three years and finally, we are getting married, what a thing of joy.
Anytime I remember our wedding day, I'm always grateful to God for blessing me with the most loving husband in the world.
We got married last year in October, I remember a day before the wedding day, I was so excited that I couldn't sleep, I was only rolling on my bed, I woke up so early because I didn't want to be late for church. At 5: 30am I took my bath, 6:30 am the hairstylist was already styling my hair, while the makeup artist commenced her work immediately. Earlier before 10 am, we were already at the church venue, I love the fact that I did not get to church late, I won't love keeping my darling husband waiting😀.
The wedding program started at exactly 10 am, the service was orderly and the choir sang beautifully.
I wish I could get a video to showcase my dancing steps, i danced and danced because I was so happy.
It was indeed a memorable day because it was the day I tied the knot with the love of my life.
Another memorable event that I won't forget was when I applied for a postgraduate course at one of the prestigious universities in Nigeria. I applied online and was called to write an exam. The exam was CBT based exam and it was an English language test. We are asked to answer 100 questions for 60 minutes. The exam was an intense one. After writing the exam we are told that the result will be out in a week.
Shortly after a week, the result was out and I passed the exam. A few days later, I received an email that I would be taking another exam which is the departmental exam in two weeks. I traveled down to the venue of the exam. On getting to the exam hall, Question papers were distributed. At the sight of the questions, I was scared. I never wrote an exam as difficult as that in my life. I was sweating profusely. I did not know what to do. We are instructed not to guess the answer, once a candidate gets a question wrong it will be a minus out of the total mark the candidate scores.
It was indeed a serious one. I saw some candidates writing and smiling while sweating profusely under the Air condition. It was an intense one for me. In such a situation, I thought to myself that it wouldn't be good if I submitted a blank sheet. I forced myself to write what I knew and I submitted it. I got home sad because I thought I didn't perform well.
After a week, I received an email that out of 70 candidates who wrote the exam, only 17 candidates passed and that I was part of those who passed the exam. I was so excited, it was as if I should jump over the roof. It was indeed a remarkable experience for me because I never thought I would pass the exam. In that same week, I received my admission letter💃💃💃.
