Good morning everyone, welcome to my blog. The weather was breezy today. This morning I decided to go back to the community mosque to complete the cleaning of the mosque environment.

The mosque area had been littered with plastic bags, rags, paper, biscuit wraps etc. I went around picking these pollutants. The mosque's surroundings became very clean. It's always good to clean the surroundings to make it clean and habitable for everyone. This will also help to stop the spread of communicable or infectious diseases.

In the dry and wet seasons, air and water pollution is high due to the burning of wastes which releases offensive odours, disease-carrying leachates, and runoff. Depletion of massive amounts of methane and carbon dioxide from landfill sites can have adverse health effects on eyes, nose, skin.Also diseases like cholera , typhoid , diarrhoea etc are rampant in places where there is indiscriminate dumping of refuse.

The time to clean our city of any dirt begins with individual action for collective clean communities.
Let's make it a habit to always clean our environment. Health is wealth!!!
