My Cleaning Activity For Monday the 8th of April, 2024.

Good Morning my fellow Hivers, welcome to my blog. Today I carried out my cleaning
activity within the next community that is linked to our community. I started cleaning this untarred road yesterday, but I had to complete the remaining part today. The place had been littered with different wastes like polythene, plastic bottles, sachet of water, paper, wraps of biscuits and sweets etc.

The rainy season has affected this road due to the waste people dump into the gutters, thinking the gutters will help them wash these refuse away, only for these wastes to block the waterways, and cause the wastes to be dumped on the road. This has also caused erosion on some sections of the road, it caused the road to develop small hills, which hold water after every rainfall. This stagnant water can serve as a breeding ground for mosquitoes.

The people in this community need to be educated on the effects of dumping refuse in the drains. I believe that education should bring positive change in behaviour.
