My Cleaning Activity For Monday, the 29th of April, 2024.

Good day, fellow hivers, welcome to my blog. I carried out my cleaning activity for the day within my community, I picked up waste and packed it into the garbage bag, and then I disposed it off, in the dustbin.

There are different refuse that people overlook, but can have a lasting effect on the environment. One such thing is diapers, it's one of the most common refuse that's thrown into the environment indiscriminately.

Single-use diapers are considered harmless, but they can release harmful substances in landfills. Phthalates, acrylamide, and dyes are among the dangerous substances. Phthalates are used to make plastic soft, and they can harm our reproductive and neurological systems, for example. Acrylamide is a water-absorbing agent that can cause cancer. Dyes are used to make diapers look better; some of them contain heavy metals that can cause Parkinson's disease.

Since diapers in landfills can pollute water, soil, and air, and contribute to climate change, baby diapers must be more eco-friendly. let's keep making our planet clean.
