Afritunes week 101. Displaying our African language through music. This is Alago dialect.

hello all lovers of music and afritunes community. this is week 101 for us and we have grown so well that people are drawing closer to this great community to display their talents of music and also yo hear others sing.
i will be doing a song in Alago dialect to showcase our African talents and also Language.
Abagale abaga wase abagele iyeluwa Yesu

This a Alago dialect. Is a Language that lives in Nasarawa state. They don't just live there but they are indigenous people of the state. While some people that speaks the language lives on Nasarawa state, we have some of them that lives in Benue state of Nigeria. When I first heard the song, I feel in love with the song and I went on to ask them what the meaning of the song is. I was shocked to hear what the people that speaks the language told me.

Abagale means Igweee in Igbo language. In Hausa language it means Rankashidede, while in Yoruba language it means Kabesi. This is a special way of greetings to a king. When you come before the presence of your king the first thing that is expected of you is to acknowledge his presence by hailing him with such names. Every tribe or dialect have a way that they do it. The Yoruba people have a way of greetings by bowing down before their kings. But for the Igbo people they don't bow down, they might kneel down depending on the environment where they live.

WHY DO WE GREET OUR KINGS THE WAY WE DO?
They are our leaders and we need to give them all the respect. They speak for us. They fight for us and they sometimes provide the social amenities that people needs to make life easier.
