Our lyrics speaks more of what we have inside of us.

Hello beautiful friends. Welcome back to my blog this beautiful day. I'm so excited to have you back today. This is the last week of November and I believe that we have achieved much already this year. For every one still struggling to survive this year, may God grant us success. Amen 🙏

When we talk about lyrics in our songs, it means the very message that we are trying to pass to your listeners. Lyrics is the life of the song that we present to people. When we have bad lyrics, it goes along way to present a wrong message to people who pay attention to us. It affects their response to what we say. That is the very reason why we need to give good lyrics out there. It speaks about is alot.

Once you have a good lyrics, then you are good to go. But like the topic for the week 141 edition 2 says - Lyrics on the go. In this our generation what we have to compare to what was existing before now is chaff. People now sing not to pass a meeting, but to make money. That is all that I see now. Instead of having people who will use their music to bring peace to our dear nation, we see people who tear us apart with the gabage the give us as songs.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?
The Bible says that our of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. During the days of our father and their own fathers, they were men and women of integrity. They were thought good morals and because they obeyed all that was passed to them, it reflected in the type of lyrics that we saw in their music. A good example of such musicians with difference is Onyeka Onwenu of blessed memory. I remember one of her songs that I know when I was still a kid. One Love Keep us Together. This song was used to bring unity amongst many Nigerians. We worked for peace instead of killing ourselves. We loved each other because of that music. Each time I remember that her song all that comes to my mind is love and living in peace with people around me.

TODAY'S LYRICS
This is totally different from what was obtainable in those days. We just have sycophants. People who can sing anything just to make people happy and get money. We have singers who can use their voice to year a country down. This is because of what we are made of. We have no value for good morals. Everyone don't care about what is right. So, we replicate it in our lyrics. Our lyrics speak so much about who we are, what we believe in, what we do and what have you.

I'm conclusion, we need to inculcate good morals into our children so that when they grow it will be part of them. That will also show in the kind of music that they will produce tomorrow for their generation.
