My friend and confident
My wonderful people in this beautiful Hscp community. Welcome to my blog for week 11 episode and I am glad that I finally made it to this community.
For this week's prompt, we are asked to share about a story of a friendship we built in school. Well this topic is purposely made for someone like me because I make friends alot. It is very difficult for me to be in a particular place for a whole day without making a friend at least. It has become part of me and I love the fact that it made socialization easy for me. I have made beautiful and amazing friends while back in school and we still bound till today because our friendship was not just about being students or course mates, but that of people of like mindedness.
Because I am a married woman it makes it easier for me to flow with the married once freely. I met this beautiful soul when I went back to school five years ago to complete my degree program. One sweet aspect of our friendship is that we are name sake. My name is Gloria and her name too is Gloria. We only bear different surname and that is it. We started just few weeks after we got admission. I discovered that she is the type of person that I love to be with and that made me draw closer to her. She is just like me always looking for someone to read together so as to understand more. We organized a reading group and just the both of us where the serious ones amongst others. When we noticed that the rest are not coming we changed our location to avoid distraction from others. We continued like that and the first year our results was very encouraging. That gave us the moral to study more and write very well during exams.
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT HER.
Though she is married with kids and even at a particular time she was pregnant and it didn't affect her negatively at all. She was always up and doing. I remember that there was this semester in our 300 level that she put to bed and I had to follow her to her house to read and we still came out with good grades.
FRIENDS THAT WATCH YOUR BACK.
Gloria is the type of friend that I can trust and I know vividly that she will watch my back in case of anything. I have grown to trust her and we are doing just well even after we graduated last year October. We no longer see each other often because of proximity, but we are still good friends. We communicate often and always ask how we are all doing in our separate location. Just yesterday she called me and told me that our TRCN results are out and that I should go to school to collect my own and even hers. It was because of her that I got to know about the result. Right after calling me I went straight to the school and collected both mine and hers. This is what friends are meant to do for each other.
