Memories of Legends
We will love to have memories of the people that had great and positive impact on the society because I believe the life they lived is a very big lessons to the society.
We move again to another great edition of week 204. As I glanced at the topic for episode 2, I just told myself that this is a lesson for the living and not for the dead. When things like this comes up we should see it as a means of warning to the living. The dead are far gone and can't read all of these now. We are the ones reading and we know what it means for people to say that they don't want our memories when we are gone.
I think even in history we read about people who did very well in their field. People who allowed God used them to touch other lives very well in such a way the when they are gone people still sings their praise. For me I don't want to remember people who did evil while they were alive, unless maybe to use their lives type as a lesson for those who wants to take their steps so that they can see the consequences of such action.
We had a terrible lecturer during our days in the University. He took us a course in our year two and made life a living hell for us. We took his name to the school authority and told them that we don't want him to take us again, stating everything he has done to the student and how he extort money from us at every given opportunity he gets. The school told us that they can't remove him because he have a God father in the school and he is always supported. We were asked to keep managing him until we graduate because he is one of our main lecturer from the department. After the cry of so many students who tried to report him, nothing to show for it. At the end of the last semester he boldly told us that we will still come to meet him in our year three which we did. He was taken year one, two and three. As id that was not enough he went to their superior lecturer and asked that he will take Year four. It was given to him. When we heard of it, we cried because we don't want the trouble from that man again in our year four. I don't know if I should say a big thank you to God because he never made it to our year four. He got sick and died right before the students get to know about his sickness. 99% of the students were celebrating the day we heard that the lecturer is dead. For the few that didn't rejoice openly did that because of the fear of God. He died and people easily forget about him and don't even want his memories.
No school or organization/ company should erect the image of a bad person who has passed. We don't want bad vibes, we just want to hear about lives that made good things to happen.
Jezebel and Delilah are good names, but no one wants anything to do with that name again. And even today when you see someone bearing those names, you have bad omen about them. They may actually be good people but because of that name people don't want them.

Having memories of the great people are always good.
Just imagine a lecturer who treated you people like that, how will people remember him for good? It will always the evil he did that he will be remembered for. And we have a lot of lecturers like that all over, some even worse. People should always be remembered for both the good and evil they did, and nothing should be left out. That is how history should be.

To me, good people should not be remembered. Thanks for sharing.
Smiles, that's a terrible experience you had. There's a lecturer like that when I was still in school too, he's not my lecturer though, but he's so wicked that even we that aren't offering his course know him....
I don't know if to say it's a good thing that he..... 🤐
But then, like you said, such bad people shouldn't be celebrated publicly and such.
Thanks for sharing.
