LIVING IN A HIGHLY POPULATED SOCIETY
My lovely friends in this beautiful community, I am back today again for another great week. This is the first Episode of Week 164, talking about the Population in our society today. What is wrong with the population? Hahaha 😂. Do you love the number of people that you see around you? Or do you need something to be done about it? This and many more we shall discuss as we move forward.
Actually looking at the population in our society today, I think is some how scary because it has really increased the price of everything in our society. Do we love it? Maybe I should say yes or even no. I don't really know what my answer should be. I really want to discuss this from the two sides. Meaning i love how populated we are and I don't also love it.
MY HATE FOR OUR POPULATION
Maybe the word hate may be too harsh, but that is what I can use for now. Looking at the price of house rent today, is actually crazy. And all of these is as a result of the population we have today. My son got admission into FUT MINA, when he went to check the house and how much it will cost, we discovered that the house rent in mina for one year alone can pay your school fees for two years. It was so annoying. How can a student pay #100,000 for school fees and then pay #28,000 for house rent? Is not fair. I know the only reason is because of the population. If there were only a few students, house owners won't put that kind of high price for students. But the population has made the price increased.
Secondly, I hate our population because people are always struggling for everything now. Before when our fathers were here, the hardly fight for anything, especially land, assets or inheritance from their own fathers because they hard everything they want. But today, where did you even see land to buy? Every land you touch now you will hear the land agent calling big money for you. These and many more troublea that we have today is caused by our population in the society.
MY LOVE FOR POPULATION
I want to also say that dispit the fact that I hate large population, I also see somethings that I love there. The relationship is very sweet. Well, maybe because I love associating with people. I don't know but I love having people around me. Let's take for example if we are not this populated and you have just one friend. What if the friend annoys you so much that you all went your separate ways? How will you cope without anyone as your friend? This is another problem. When people are close to you. You will have people to share your joy and pain with. I need to be having enough people to interact with.
Another reason why I love population is because I love kids. Maybe if the government said that they want to give us incentives and because of that we should have just two kids. How will I now have enough children that will take care of me when I grow old? You see my point. Some families have only two and maybe one dies before they parents get old, living them with only one child to take care of them. What will happen yo this parent when that child turns out to be in responsible? They will cry for the rest of their days for that one that is dead. But if they have more than two kids, that will not happen because other kids will always be there. If onw turns out bad, there are still three or four more..
In conclusion, i don't think I will buy that idea of the government regulating for me how to give birth because I know that at the end I will still be the person to take care of the kids. Nigerian government has never done anything like that and I don't think that they will start now.
