DREAMS FROM A NAIVE MIND

Welcome back to scifi-multiverse community for week 18. Thanks for coming around and let's delve into the topic for the week.

Childhood dreams is a normal thing for every child and as children how we see things is very different from how we see things when we grow. This is the main reason why for some it looks as if their childhood dreams have been aborted. I want to use this post to correct that because children are too naive and they can't really understand what is best for them.

As a child I had so many dreams, and the problem with me is that when a see anyone looking good in his professional attire, I will switch my dreams. Hahaha 😂 😂. It sounds so funny now that I am talking about it. But back then you will see me saying it with all seriousness. That is why when I see a child today saying, this is what I want to be when I grow, I just pray for the child because I know that it can change my time.

MY CHILDHOOD DREAMS
like I said earlier, I have lots of them but there was this time that I started nursing this particular one very seriously. Becoming a medical doctor was one of the things that I admired to be when I was a little girl. I have always wondered how it will be to have a as a female doctor. I started nursing that thought when I went to the hospital and saw a female doctor. To make matters worse I was an art student. So how will that even be possible. I wasn't even thinking of a carrier in my line, maybe an actress or a writer. I was just been the child that I was back then.

WHAT CHANGED?
Growing up I soon discovered that people in art class can't become medical doctors unless if I can switch to science. And for me science subject was a no go area because I don't like science at all, especially physics and chemistry. Hahaha 😂. These two subject made me hate science in addition to mathematics that happens to be a general subject for everyone. I was still trying to cope with mathematics and then now adding other science subjects will make me go mad. I had to let go that dream. And I embrace who I was and still am today. I am an art student and I studied English language in combination of IGBO language. This have made way for me to be a writer today. I have authored books that have given me the visibility that I have been seeking for.

That is why I said that most children made their decision narrowly because they are still naive.

The pictures used in this post belongs to me. I took it when we went for carrier day for children on children's day 27th May, 2025.

You studied a beautiful course at the end of the day .

Life happens, we have to teach the young ones to also expect disappointments and live with changes. Life doesn't always go as planned.

Childhood dreams are really so different without any limitation, without any fear and we just dream of becoming what we see and you are absolutely right in saying that in childhood we just make decisions with innocence, not with practical thinking. Thanks for sharing this blog.

Lol you were in arts and dreaming of becoming a science student, maybe miracle could have happened for you to become one 😂

Great to know you're doing fine with what you do now, regardless of your dreams before it.

I think childhood is the best time because a child has no thoughts, he can only hope for something and dream. In reality, we dream a lot in childhood, but most of them are canceled after we grow up.There is a lot of difference between childhood and real life.I feel like if I could go back to childhood.

Funny though😂
All my childhood days all I ever wanted was to become a pilot but getting to junior secondary school my perspective changed to electrical engineering, but see where I am today.not an engineer and not a pilot 😂😂
