Celebrating my Christmas with a low key budget
Christmas is here and it is the moment we all are all waiting for. Merry Christmas tp all my Friends in this space.
Moving on to the topic for the second edition of Low budget is actually the plan but most times we end up doing things that we did not plan which is way above. In this second episode we are looking at the budgeting for Christmas to avoid debt. This is actually the right thing to do especially now that the cost of things is very high in the market. Unless before that whatsoever you want to buy you can afford it with the little money that you have.

Some years back I remember someone telling us of the story of a family that went on to collect clothes, food stuff and beef for credit. After enjoying everything they bought during Christmas, the worries of how to pay back starting cripping in. Few days after Christmas people started visiting them and asking of the money for what they bought before Christmas. It was then that people began to know that all the good things they have been enjoying during Christmas was bought on debt. For every day there must be someone coming to know at their door to ask for money that has not been paid.

MY BUDGET FOR CHRISTMAS
This use to be a problem for me when my kids were very small. Because the kids will not understand wether you have it or not. I will try by all means to get what the kids will be needing for Christmas. But today thanks be to God because they are all grown up. At least my last born just graduated from high school and I don't think I will still be going through stuffs like. In fact even when they were small I still try to minimize what I buy during Christmas. I make sure that my children don't get used to always putting on new clothes for Christmas. I also make sure that we eat what is available for us and that way it has been alot easier for us as a family. We don't really go through much expenditure. Most times when I want to buy clothes for them I either do it before or after Christmas when clothes will not to too expensive. And it has saved me a lot as a mother.
WHAT DO WE DO?
I just make sure that there is enough food to eat and also meet to go with it. Just like last year when it was Christmas season. We had no money to buy chicken meat and besides three of my children got admission into the higher institution of learning. They will all leave at the beginning of January. So there is no point spending too much money for Christmas when we have needs for money in two weeks time. We just went to buy goat head meat and cooked it with our stew. We all ate it with joy and no one outside knows that we did not buy chicken meat. I just think that we need to take life simple.
Christmas is not my birthday and I don't think that I should celebrate it in such a way that I will be in debt after everything. We eat what we see and have. If we don't have it we don't go for what we can't afford just because os Christmas. Life is very simple, we are they ones complicating things for ourselves.
In summary, I suggest we cut out coat according to the size of the material available and not according to our size. Merry Christmas to everyone here.

Christmas is always a period of expenses, the only thing here is that we gats have a very good plan before spending.
Yeah. I totally agree with you.
Thanks alot
Many families make the mistake of taking things on credit in the name of they want to celebrate Christmas but that is quite wrong.
Very wrong and we need to correct that.
